Key regulatory agencies, policymakers, and industry experts across Africa are set to provide first-hand insights into regulatory reforms, emerging trends, and challenges during the African Energy Week (AEW): Invest in African Energies 2025, the continent’s largest energy event.

Scheduled to take place in Cape Town from September 29 to October 3, 2025, the event serves as a premier platform for signing deals, driving energy projects forward, and positioning Africa as a global energy powerhouse.

The upcoming edition of AEW will feature Country Spotlight Sessions offering in-depth updates on investment opportunities, policy reforms, and regulatory frameworks from key energy-producing nations including Nigeria, South Africa, Senegal, Gabon, Angola, Uganda, Namibia, Mozambique, and Egypt.

One of the major highlights of the event is a series of industry-focused roundtables and investor forums. These include the Global Energy Leaders Roundtable, OPEC-Africa Roundtable, Just Energy Transition Roundtable, and the US-Africa Critical Minerals Roundtable. Additional forums such as the Deal Room, African Farmout Forum, and NOC & IOC Forum are expected to facilitate partnerships and major investment deals.

AEW also emphasizes networking and collaboration through strategic events such as the Gala Dinner & Awards, Women in Energy Power Lunch, and business networking sessions, fostering partnerships between African governments, global investors, and private sector stakeholders.

“At a time when global energy dynamics are shifting, AEW has become the strategic platform for advancing Africa’s priorities in the global energy arena,” said NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber. “This event will drive partnerships, investments, and projects that will shape Africa’s energy future.”

The expanded 2025 program will cover the entire energy value chain, featuring tracks on Upstream Exploration & Production, Energy Finance, Power and Infrastructure, and Energy Transition, with discussions on natural gas, renewables, green hydrogen, and carbon capture technologies.

High-profile speakers will include African presidents such as Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Nigeria), Abdelmadjid Tebboune (Algeria), and Emmerson Mnangagwa (Zimbabwe), alongside petroleum ministers and executives from leading global energy companies.

As the official platform for dealmaking in Africa’s energy sector, AEW: Invest in African Energies 2025 is expected to attract project operators, financiers, technology providers, and government officials, reinforcing its position as the continent’s most influential energy event.
