Energy experts, policymakers, and industry stakeholders will gather in Lagos to discuss the digital transformation of Nigeria’s oil and gas sector during the 2025 News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Press Week Lecture.
Theme: Transforming Energy in a Digital Age
The Press Week, scheduled for September 22 to 26, will run under the theme “Transforming Energy: The Digital Evolution of Oil and Gas.” According to a joint statement by Mrs. Vivian Ihechu, Chair of the Press Week Committee, and Mr. Adeyemi Adeleye, Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), NAN Lagos Chapel, the week-long activities will combine health, culture, and high-level dialogue.
Week-Long Activities
The programme opens on Sept. 22 with a health walk and free medical check-up, tagged “Stride Toward a Healthier You,” starting at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, and ending at NAN Premises, National Arts Theatre, Iganmu. The medical checks will be provided in partnership with Lion Club International District 404B4.
On Sept. 23, a Cultural Day will celebrate Nigeria’s multi-ethnic diversity at NAN’s Multi-purpose Media Complex, Iganmu, Lagos. The following day, Sept. 24, is dedicated to the main lecture and symposium.
