The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has reiterated that the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Compliance Certificate remains a compulsory requirement for all contractors and vendors doing business with the Board.
This reminder was issued when the NCDMB Capacity Building Directorate hosted a delegation from the ITF Yenagoa Area Office, led by its new Area Manager, Mr. Uzogbe Hope, at the Nigerian Content Tower in Swali, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Receiving the delegation, Mr. Esueme Dan Kikile, NCDMB’s General Manager of Human Capital Development, stressed that compliance with ITF certification is non-negotiable and firmly anchored within the Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP) framework.
“The ITF Compliance Certificate remains mandatory for all contractors and vendors with the Board,” Kikile declared. He added that NCDMB delivers two forms of training: project-based programmes designed to close industry gaps, and intervention programmes that equip Nigerian youths with self-reliance skills.
During the visit, the ITF delegation formally presented NCDMB with the “Best in Training Contribution 2023” award within the Yenagoa Area Office jurisdiction, recognising the Board’s outstanding commitment to human capital development.
Kikile highlighted that NCDMB’s interventions are crucial for strengthening Nigeria’s oil and gas sector while positioning indigenous companies to compete globally. “NCDMB is always open to partnerships that enhance human capacity and strengthen Nigeria’s oil and gas industry,” he noted.
Speaking during the engagement, ITF Area Manager, Uzogbe Hope, commended NCDMB’s leadership in advancing training initiatives and pledged closer cooperation at both state and national levels.
Both agencies agreed to deepen collaboration in training, certification, and institutional strengthening, reinforcing their shared mandate of developing Nigeria’s human capital base.
