NIPCO Urges Staff Cooperation to Sustain Downstream Oil Sector Investment

NIPCO Plc has urged employees to deepen cooperation and drive performance as the company seeks to strengthen its role in Nigeria’s downstream oil sector. The call came during a ceremony to honour more than 20 staff for 10 to 20 years of service.

Long Service, Lasting Impact

The event, presided over by Managing Director and CEO Suresh Kumar, recognised long-serving employees with plaques and other benefits. Staff from all levels attended the ceremony, which celebrated contributions from some of the company’s earliest employees.

“These employees have contributed significantly to the development and growth of the organisation,” Kumar said. He added that their commitment mirrors NIPCO’s expansion efforts over the past two decades and underpins the company’s reputation as a preferred employer.

Focus on Growth and Workforce Development

Founded in 2004, NIPCO has recorded steady progress but acknowledges the need for continued improvement amid downstream sector deregulation. Kumar said the Human Resources department will prioritise initiatives that support rewarding careers and a performance-driven culture.

“It is encouraging that several of you have been part of the company’s achievements over the last 21 years. Your dedication provides an example to new employees,” he said.

Recipients Respond

Speaking for the awardees, Khamal Badmus, Manager of LPG Operations, thanked management for the recognition. He said the awards would motivate continued diligence and inspire newer staff to excel.
