The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced a profit after tax of N185 billion for July 2025, underscoring the company’s strong financial performance amid strategic infrastructure developments.
According to the company’s Monthly Report Summary, July 2025 released on Thursday, NNPCL recorded N4.4 trillion in revenue during the month. Between January and June 2025, the company remitted N7.9 trillion to the Federal Government.
The report also revealed that average daily crude oil and condensate production stood at 1.7 million barrels, while gas production averaged 7.722 million standard cubic feet per day.
NNPCL clarified that the financial data remains provisional and unaudited, reflecting only its operations and excluding those of independent operators monitored by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
Providing updates on major gas infrastructure projects, the company disclosed that the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) gas pipeline project is now 83% complete, with additional subcontractors deployed to accelerate mainline work. Similarly, the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) gas pipeline project has reached 96% completion, with a revised execution strategy in place to expedite the River Niger crossing.
The commissioned 113-kilometre section of the OB3 pipeline is already delivering 300 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, sourced from AHL (250 mmscf/d) and other operators such as Platform, Chorus, and Xenergi (50 mmscf/d).
These milestones reflect NNPCL’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s energy security through improved production, infrastructure development, and strategic investments.
