The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of the physical screening and document verification stage for its ongoing 2024/2025 paramilitary recruitment exercise.
The announcement was made in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday night by the Secretary of the Board, Major-General Ahmed Jibril (retd.).
Portal Access for Shortlisted Candidates
According to the board, candidates who participated in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) held in November 2025 are required to check their shortlisting status through the official recruitment portal.
The verification window is scheduled to run from Monday, June 15 to Friday, June 20, 2026.
Successful applicants will be expected to:
- Log in using their application numbers
- Upload academic credentials
- Select preferred dates and screening venues
- Participate in physical verification exercises
FG Warns Against Recruitment Fraud
The board strongly cautioned applicants against falling victim to fraudsters and employment racketeers, stressing that no payment is required at any stage of the recruitment process.
It warned that all legitimate updates will only be communicated through official CDCFIB channels and the recruitment portal.
Applicants were also advised to ignore:
- Fake shortlisting messages
- Fraudulent websites and links
- Individuals posing as recruitment agents
Commitment to Transparency
Major-General Jibril reiterated that the recruitment exercise will be conducted in a transparent, merit-based and credible manner, in line with existing civil service regulations.
He added that the board remains committed to ensuring fairness and professionalism throughout the selection process across all participating paramilitary agencies.
