2027 – ADC Counters Tinubu, Claims Opposition Offers Better Solutions

The African Democratic Congress has criticised comments made by Bola Ahmed Tinubu about opposition parties. The party said opposition groups still have better ideas for solving Nigeria’s economic and security problems.

Tinubu reportedly questioned the vision and capacity of opposition leaders during his acceptance speech as presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

ADC Criticises Economic Policies

In a statement issued on Monday, ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, described the President’s remarks as ironic.

The party accused the administration of worsening inflation, poverty, food insecurity, and the declining value of the naira.

According to the ADC, many Nigerians now struggle to afford food and basic needs. The party also said businesses face harsh economic conditions across the country.

The statement added that insecurity continues to disrupt farming activities and threaten livelihoods in several communities.

“It is ironic that a government facing severe economic challenges would accuse the opposition of lacking ideas,” the statement said.

Party Rejects Blame for Hardship

The ADC insisted that opposition parties did not cause the country’s current problems.

“The opposition did not create hunger or destroy the value of the naira,” the statement added.

The party also said opposition groups were not responsible for the insecurity affecting farming communities nationwide.

According to the ADC, Nigerians remain deeply concerned about rising living costs, insecurity, and the country’s economic direction.

ADC Questions APC Primary Figures

The party also questioned reports that Tinubu secured 10.99 million votes during the APC presidential primary.

The ADC described the figure as questionable and warned against actions that could weaken public trust in future elections.

According to the party, Nigerians want competent and compassionate leadership that can address the country’s economic and governance challenges.
